The colors are 10/10—the purple is much more vibrant than any navy kit from previous years. The Messi #10 printing is crisp and hasn't faded after a few cold washes. However, I’m giving 4 stars because the sizing is quite tight. I usually wear a Medium, and while it fits, there’s zero room for error. If you’re between sizes, absolutely go up! Also, the shipping to Vancouver took about 15 days. I was worried it wouldn't arrive before my watch party, but the quality of the shirt made the wait worth it.
Let's talk about the details: the "Sol de Mayo" (Sun of May) graphics at the bottom are incredible—they look almost like a bunsen burner flame, which is so unique. The silver accents are a nice touch, and the material is that lightweight AEROREADY fabric that really helps with breathability during summer matches.
Why only 4 stars? First, the material is quite thin. It’s perfect for the heat, but you have to be very careful with snags from things like zippers or rough surfaces. Second, the washing instructions are no joke—you have to wash it inside out on cold and NEVER use a dryer, or the silver Messi print will start to crack. It’s a high-maintenance jersey for a fan, but it looks so good on that I can't complain too much. If you're a collector who takes care of their gear, you'll love it.
